Capt. Brandon Lee Cyr, 28, of Woodbridge, Virginia, was a U.S. Air Force officer assigned to the 906th Air Refueling Squadron. He died on April 27, 2013, in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Brandon Lee Cyr was a captain in the United States Air Force. He was assigned to the 906th Air Refueling Squadron, a unit based at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. A native of Woodbridge, Virginia, he was 28 years old at the time of his deployment to Afghanistan.
According to the U.S. Department of Defense, Cyr died on April 27, 2013, in Kandahar, Afghanistan. The official casualty report stated he was killed by enemy small arms fire. He was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom at the time of his death.
