SFC Matthew Charles Lewellen, 27, of Lawrence, Kansas, was a U.S. Army Special Forces soldier assigned to the 5th Special Forces Group. He died in Amman, Jordan on November 4, 2016, from hostile action.

U.S. Army Major Andrew David Byers, 30, of Rolesville, North Carolina, was a Special Forces officer assigned to the 10th Special Forces Group. He died in Kunduz, Afghanistan, on November 3, 2016, from wounds sustained in combat.

U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Ryan Allen Gloyer, 34, of Greenville, Pennsylvania, died on November 3, 2016, in Kunduz, Afghanistan, from wounds sustained in a firefight.

Chief Petty Officer Jason Christopher Finan, 34, of Lake Forest, California, was a U.S. Navy sailor assigned to a Naval Special Warfare unit. He died in Erbil, Iraq, on October 20, 2016, from wounds sustained in a hostile incident.

U.S. Army Sergeant Douglas James Riney, 26, of Fairview, Illinois, was killed in a hostile incident in Kabul, Afghanistan, on October 19, 2016.

Staff Sergeant Adam Samuel Thomas, 31, of Takoma Park, Maryland, was a U.S. Army Special Forces soldier. He died on October 4, 2016, in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan, from hostile enemy action.

Chief Warrant Officer Travis Ryan Tamayo, 32, of Brownsville, Texas, was a U.S. Army intelligence officer. He was killed in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on September 16, 2016, while serving in Operation Inherent Resolve.

First Lieutenant Jeffrey Douglas Cooper, 25, of Mill Creek, Washington, was a U.S. Army officer serving with the 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment. He died on September 10, 2016, in Al Jahara, Kuwait.

Staff Sergeant Matthew Vail Thompson, 28, of Brookfield, Wisconsin, was a U.S. Army Special Forces soldier. He was killed in action on August 23, 2016, in Chianjir Village, Afghanistan.

Staff Sgt. Christopher Alexander Wilbur, 36, of Granite City, Illinois, was a U.S. Army soldier assigned to Fort Carson, Colorado. He was killed in action on August 12, 2016, in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Lt. Col. Flando Elix Jackson, 45, of Seattle, Washington, was a member of the Washington Air National Guard's 194th Wing. He died on August 4, 2016, at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar while deployed for Operation Inherent Resolve.

First Lieutenant Anais Alejandra Tobar, 25, of Miami, Florida, served in the U.S. Air Force's 4th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. She died on July 18, 2016, at Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates.

Connor Alan Mcquagge, 19, was a Seaman in the U.S. Navy assigned to the USS Harpers Ferry. He died in Iraq and Syria on May 26, 2016, during Operation Inherent Resolve.

U.S. Army First Lieutenant David Allan Bauders, 25, of Seattle, Washington, was killed in action on May 6, 2016, at Al Asad Air Base in Iraq while serving with the 176th Engineer Company.

Charles Humphrey Keating IV, a 31-year-old U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer from San Diego, California, was killed in a firefight with ISIS fighters near Tall Usquf, Iraq, on May 3, 2016.

Airman First Class Nathaniel Henry McDavitt, 22, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, was killed in action on April 15, 2016, in Amman, Jordan, while serving with the 52d Equipment Maintenance Squadron.
