SGT Shay, Jordan Michael, 22, a native of SALISBURY, MA, died serving in the Active Duty, ARMY, COMPANY A, 5-20 INFANTRY, 3-2 SBCT, 25TH ID, TF LIGHTNING, FORT LEWIS, WA, during Operation Iraqi Freedom on September 3, 2009.

U.S. Army Private First Class Jordan Mykle Brochu, 20, of Cumberland, Maine, was killed in action on August 31, 2009, in Shuyene-Sufia, Afghanistan.

Lance Corporal David Ray Hall, 31, of Elyria, Ohio, was a U.S. Marine killed in a hostile incident in Garmsir District, Afghanistan, on August 31, 2009.

SPC Tyler Robert Walshe, 21, from Shasta, CA, served in the U.S. Army's C Company 1-17 Infantry, 5-2ID SBCT, and died on August 31, 2009, in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

SPC Jonathan David Welch, age 19, from Yorba Linda, CA, served in the Army's 5th Stryker Brigade and died in Shuyene-Sufia, Afghanistan on August 31, 2009.

U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Jason Sean Dahlke, 29, of Orlando, Florida, was killed in a firefight in Afghanistan's Orgun District on August 29, 2009.

U.S. Army Private First Class Eric William Hario, 19, of Monroe, Michigan, was killed in a hostile incident on August 29, 2009, at Forward Operating Base Sharana, Afghanistan.

Abraham Sherrod Wheeler III, an American Army Specialist from Columbia, SC, was killed in hostile action in Charkh District, Afghanistan on August 28, 2009 at age 22.

National Guard, ARMY, COMPANY B, 41ST SPECIAL TROOPS BATTALION, PORTLAND, OR, PFC Marks, Taylor Daniel of MONMOUTH, OR, 19, died in BAGHDAD, IRAQ on August 28, 2009. Cause: HOSTILE.

Sgt. Earl Delmer Werner, 38, of Mondovi, Wisconsin, was a U.S. Army National Guard soldier. He died on August 28, 2009, in Baghdad, Iraq, from hostile action.

PFC Matthew Everett Wildes, 18, from Hammond, LA, served in the U.S. Army, Company B, 1-12 Infantry, and died on August 27, 2009, in Maywand District, Afghanistan.

Staff Sergeant Kurt Robert Curtiss, 27, of Murray, Utah, was killed in action on August 26, 2009, in the Sar Howzeh District of Afghanistan.

Lance Corporal Donald James Hogan was a 20-year-old U.S. Marine from San Clemente, California. He was killed in a hostile incident in Nawa District, Afghanistan, on August 26, 2009.

Captain John Louis Hallett III, 30, of Dupont, California, was a U.S. Army officer serving with the 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment. He was killed in a roadside bomb attack in Sha Wali Kot, Afghanistan, on August 25, 2009.

Cory J. Jenkins, a 30-year-old U.S. Army captain from Mesa, Arizona, was killed in action on August 25, 2009, in the Sha Wali Kot district of Kandahar province, Afghanistan.

SFC Ronald Wayne Sawyer, 38, of Trenton, Missouri, was a U.S. Army soldier serving with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, 5th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, based at Fort Lewis, Washington.

PFC Dennis Michael Williams, 24, served in Company A, 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry, 5 SBCT, Fort Lewis, WA, and died in Sha Wali Kot, Afghanistan on August 25, 2009.
